Plunge to Palisade Shuttle by AP Limo
Phase I of the Palisade Plunge is finally open with 17 miles of amazing singletrack trails connecting the top of the Grand Mesa to the Town of Palisade, Colorado. This is awesome back-country riding. This trail is guaranteed to offer a fast, fun and challenging ride. The Plunge route also connects with miles and miles of awesome existing trail, passing through stunning back-country terrain that most riders only dream of.
Phase I begins on Lands End Road, approximately three miles below the Lands End Observatory, transversing over the forested slopes of the Mesa to a classic desert canyon at Highway 6 and the Palisade Rim Trailhead. Navigating remote, back-country terrain with some sections of extreme exposure that require high levels of confidence and skill to ride; less experienced riders may easily get in a difficult position with no alternate routes except backtracking to Lands End Road. Enthusiasts are encouraged to carefully consider their experience, skills and preparedness before taking “The Plunge”. Please come prepared with plenty of food, water, appropriate clothing and bike repair supplies. No water is available at the route start point or on the trail.
The pick-up location is Palisade Rim Trailhead; however, shuttle riders must have a reservation.
